The next step is for me to be home from school and typing, which I happen to be.
How does Wednesday afternoon sound to you guys for using Facebook to do a chat and hash things out, maybe even get some dialogue going?

Im unavailble from 4-7ish for work, but I can try and get it to 5-6 so Im only out an hour. Also I may work on a prelude section explaining why the RG have magically appeared and introducing some of the characters, primarily the non-Astartes. Do you guys think this is a good idea or should I just ignore it?

Go for it. I'm doing the same for the Chaos forces. And don't worry about getting out of work early, we'll do what we can and just take care of things in chunks.

Well I was thinking we can have Aceage be a critical supply line for the crusade hence why chaos takes it. Omega and other initial forces be a scratch force to retake it before more chaos comes and completely fortify the planet, which will slow the crusade and lengthen imperial supply lines, making them even more vulnerable. The RG could be heading to the main crusade and "just happen" onto this battle instead

I was thinking they might be returning from a Crusade battle and happenee upon it, which is why their force is so small

That or they were being sent to reinforce another force, and the warp currents spat them out at the wrong place and time? Would add a bit of desire to hurry matters along if they feel honor bound to assist in this conflict but know they are supposed to be elsewhere.
Also, updated the Chaos dramatis personae. More to come, as well as the Imperial personnel I plan on running.
It looks like most of the Astartes vs Astartes fights that happen behind the scenes will be Blood Dogs vs Omega Watch. There'll be plenty of opportunity to do those fights in a one off manner. Now, since named Astartes vs named Astartes fights are going to be brutal and leave few survivors, I recommend we leave those fights as a rare thing. Rizo's Chosen vs Squad Gaius for example should be a bloodbath unless we go with the cliche that individuals are disabled and both sides disengage after the fight. Since I prefer a more realistic approach to combats, I would expect people ganging up on single targets, dirty fighting, making sure the opponent is dead and extended duels being rare.

I was thinking that they were returning from a distress call with the remnants of their company and 1st company. And then ended up here but need to return to the main fleet to assist in the crusade. I may add on to mine as well but Im not sure right now. And what do you mean behind the scenes? Like I had some interesting plans for Gaius Squad to fight traitors. However I agree with the outcome of the named fights, however I think that the rook should fight the one lightning claw guy on chaos. After thinking about it I decided I liked the idea of him winning the duel and taking the claws. I also think Squad Gaius would have the advantage due to the Captain and Chaplain and the vets, but that is very biased haha. Also what time are we planning tomorrow? Im in central time zone but idk bout you guys

By behind the scenes I mean in engagements that the main characters are not a direct part of. So for example, during the assault on the spaceport Squad Gaius is likely to be a point of view, as well as the command squad for the Omega Watch (Sorry, trying to memorize names but it comes slowly). But the other Astartes squads will be present, and may engage a part of the Chaos Marine squad that will be there. There's no real reason to write it out in detail (unless we want that point of view). Same for the larger battles, when the entire Battle Company of Omega Watch engage the entirety of First Fang, a good portion of those fights will be off screen.
As for time, I'm off of school in the early afternoon Pacific Time. So about 3 PM Pacific...5 PM Central I think?

I agree space marines in a CQB be a blood bath, and yes they should be rare after all it's a planetary invasion and there is really just a handful of Astartes Luckily we got guard and cultists to do the dying lol

For omega the main pov be split between Artorius (think I'll write those in 1st person) and the command squad. Like major battle be from the command squad pov but for the smaller actions be more from Artorius
