I was thinking the world could have a military academy on it maybe like corbulo academy in halo to justify Astartes recruitment nut we can drop that its not too important Main reason for agri world with hives was so we can have nice plains for tank battles and built up urban centres for close quarter battles Also we can say its a major supply of foods for the crusade as well as bring at a warp nexus to justify massive guard forces. As for the nids well we can see how story goes I'd like to see them in this so we can change up the battles but really chaos and imperials can work for the bulk of the story too

Ok fair about the terminater plate I was just going to use it for the command squad who were going to be the shock troops of omega but mostly I was going to mostly have command be more a reserve force bulk of the story pov from a veteran Sergent in a tactical squad

The only issue is that the Deathwatch are under the Ordo Xenos so would only be called in for Xenos issues

The Deathwatch RPG books clearly give Deathwatch a number of foes who are not Xenos, primarily Chaos Marines. Deathwatch go where they are needed. And there are Xenos on this agriworld. Loxatl are reported, as well as other alien mercenaries.

Sorry about being gone a day! Totally missed important things but what can ya do? Lol. Anyways so the RG stuff is good? I hadnt seen our Captain (project leader should be called Captain lol) say anything either way. So what Im thinking is during the initial waiting in orbit thing the RG kinda randomly transition out of Warp Space. The reason was the Warp was being all hellish and such and caused the flight path to be massively diverted. I mean if it could just steal 3 ships in the Scarus sector I think a course error is pretty plausible. Anyways the Captain volunteers his forces, like 30ish Astartes total, to assist because hes just that kind of guy. 20 of the Astartes go with Omega on their adventures while the Captain and Veteran Sergeant and the other 8 guys do some scouting and guerilla stuff on the flanks to give Omega a chance at a swift victory but due to some tactical errors Omega doesnt act in the correct window which extends the time of the battle exponentially. Its just a rough idea and Im not sure how well it fits in

Its just a rough idea and Im not sure how well it fits in For the first battle I'm thinking of a drop pod drop on a city to set up a staging ground so sure that RG help be very helpful especially If they are assault squads lol The overall campaign be the Guard general and omega captain are too methodical and spend too much time wiping out all resistance, kinda the opposite of how it works in book Wrath of iron, consequently when we get to the capital chaos launches a massive counter attack and the imperials fall back to a defensive point and dig in and wait for help. For the retreat omega was going to be the rear guard but the RG could launch it and run attacks to buy us time too

Personally I think the RG be a cool addition be nice to show the differences between the Flexibilty of RG vs. the tactics of omega

I think it would be a good contrast to put in. Maybe the two Astartes captains can butt heads a little? Like the RG captain wants to wipe out the chaos forces because he thinks theyll do flank attacks since they specialize in guerilla tactics and have used that tactic before? Itd show a bit more of that chapter contrast. Also I hope we're having the RGs in the initial drop cuz I have a cool idea to introduce the squad in the drop pod before it drops.

That's what I was planning, Being a captain means he has the authority to question omega captain And yes RG in the drop be awesome! Lots of traitors will die lol

Ok, we've got some solid ideas so far. However, I think we are getting ahead of ourselves. Right now, we need a couple of things.
We need characters. Start coming up with names, histories, appearances. Since we're looking at making this into something of a graphic novel (I hope), think of things that would identify your characters even with helmets on. Trinkets, badges, scars on the armor itself, weapons. Think of mannerisms, fighting styles (Does your character prefer to fight up close or at range? If close range, does he go for finesse or brute force?) If they are higher ranking, how do they command? What campaigns have they been on, experiences that will change how they see the world?
And as we get those spun up, we need to start working on the first major event. I figure that'll be the first drop, so start putting forward ideas for what you want your characters to do. As you develop your characters, think about where they would want to go, what they would want to do (Which will determine where it happens). Who you want them to fight. Cultists only? Traitor Guard? A duel with a traitor Astartes?
If we do get some artists to sign on for this, our job as writers changes from narrative to describing scenes and panels. So that'll be important information to have as well.

Also I can draw character concepts and will gladly do art as well as writing

Or do you have any other ideas for names ? For its personnel ill prob base most off of roman an Greek names

Onyx is too close to Raven Guard in coloration. Omega watch works fine. Colors should contrast with Raven Guard, I think. Maybe yellow and blue quartered, something like that? Symbol is a white Omega. Squad designation matches Ultramarines (so red helmets on Sergeants, laurels on veterans, etc.) I can come up with plenty of other stuff that defines them, but if you'd like first crack at it, Delta, I'll leave that to you and fill in the gaps afterwards.

I was thinking of grey armour with white omega with blue back ground instead of red helmets for sarges I was thinking bronze colouring on the helmets vets be gold Rest of symbols match Ultramarines But feedback welcome guys

That works as well. Maybe have blue on the inner rim of the shoulderpads, and bronze for various things like trim, skills and piping? If you wanted to play up the Greek/Roman aspect, you could also go for horsehair crests and favoring power spears.
